In His Stillness

A member of the Well Words group wrote this in response to the post on April 8.

In His Stillness

As the geese flew homeward bound
free from reason, baggage and sound,
she sat on her perch in her cage
the door fully opened and her in amazed.

Like a deep torrent river that becomes still,
she saw the transparent of God’s Holy Will.
He told her of the world fit its own bill
and that she must take heed and stay still.

How the world had become its own beating of its drum
the drowning in bad thoughts, busyness,
recklessness, everything bought
the world had become out of sorts.

Here she was in her cage
where the Heavens and soul engaged
a place of plenty and protection
a happiness of redemption.

A deep ocean of oneness
bring chance and choice
to be wholesome
and to listen to His voice.

She pondered on life and knew
it would never be the same
for she took his love and held it safe
the Holy Amazing Grace.

In stillness a knowledge of that whom she belonged
His wisdom her newness endeavoured
to become still with the ‘One’,
for in her heart she sang a new song forever and ever.
