Spring Is On Its Way

"A light exists in Spring

Not present on the Year

At any other period ...."

(Emily Dickinson)

Warm sunshine and bright, clear, blue sky tempted us out today on our tandem. We returned home via Spen Valley Greenway, a wonderful green corridor that we cycle along most weeks. In this past Covid year we have experienced it in all seasons and all weathers. The colours of the trees and hedgerows are always beautiful, and especially so today in the clear, bright March light. I had to stop and take a picture of this joyful pussy willow. The catkins had just burst open to reveal their enticing, yellow pollen and looked so pretty against the blue sky.
