Sometimes, if I'm feeling low and self-obsessed, it's good to be reminded to look outwards, not inwards, and open my eyes and heart to what's around.
The short film above awakens us to the wonders of our world, reminds us what truly matters, and invites us to notice the everyday gifts of our lives. Enjoy Br. David's message on how to have a grateful day, every day.

Writing Prompts:
- Write a list of ten things you are grateful for today.
- What 'everyday gift' did you notice today? Write about it.
- Take your notebook and pencil outside (if it's not too cold) and look up at the sky, then write about the colours and changing patterns you see.
- We are having regular power cuts in our village. Write about the miracle of electricity and why we ought not to take it for granted.
- Today, I have been messaging my friend Ellie in Germany where Covid numbers are rising again. In what way did you connect with someone else during your day? Write about it.
