Still Looking Sweet .....

'A Bicycle Built For Two'

This is one of my favourite views, sitting on our tandem, me (the stoker) at the back with Robin ( the captain) up front. He keeps me safe and, although we do have our moments, we have learnt how to travel along perfectly in sync. This pretty much applies to our relationship too.

In 2021 we completed 56 rides, four more than in 2020. We've done an average of 30 miles a ride, so about 1,500 in, total in West Yorkshire, Northumberland, Cumbria and on the Furness Peninsula. As far as I can remember, we have had only one puncture this year. We've ridden in blazing hot sun, pouring rain, snow, sleet, fog and wind (the latter was definitely the most challenging). We've also climbed lots of hills!

I'm  looking forward to many more tandem rides in 2022, with, I hope,  some of them abroad.

Writing prompts:
  • Write about your greatest achievement of 2021.
  • What would you like to achieve in 2022? Let your imagination run wild as you write about it.
  • Do you have one person who has helped you more than anyone else to face the challenges of 2021? Write a letter of thanks to them, and send it if you like.
