Peace and Postcards

"If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other."

St Mother Teresa

Saturday is World Postcard Day, so I have been writing postcards to people all over the world.

I have been reassured, via Postcrossing, by sentiments bravely expressed in personal profiles from people in Russian and Belarus who want peace, not war, with Ukraine.

The lyrics of John Lennon's 'Imagine' have came to mind. Click here to listen to this wonderful song that is as relevant now as the day he wrote it.

Writing prompts:

  • Write about what peace means to you. Write without stopping, as quickly as you can, and without worrying about spelling or grammar.
  • What's the bravest thing you have ever done? Write about it for six minutes.
  • Send a postcard, or any card, to someone you know will love to receive it.
