No one is Watching or Listening
When we meet and write in our Well Words group I usually invite people to share what they have written. There is no pressure to do this, and sometimes group members prefer to keep their writing private. It is the process of writing, rather than the end result, that is our main focus.
So, now that we are not meeting in a group because of the corona virus pandemic, some of you are writing alone at home and not sharing (although a few people have shared via the comments box beneath the post).
How does it feel to write alone, in isolation? Is it different from being in a group? Do you feel freer, less restricted, more able to express yourself knowing that no one is watching or listening to you?
Writing prompt: Free write for six minutes. Write continuously, without planning or worrying about what comes out on the page. Just keep writing. When you've finished, ask yourself whether this experience was different from free writing in a group. Share your thoughts below if you wish.
