Today, I sat on the swing. After a while, I opened my eyes, and you would not believe what I saw. A group of birds, similar size, flew together in a group, but only one, also a similar size, flew by itself into a different direction. I find that amazing. This bird stood out. This bird didn't want to fit in.
After a short while, a different bird flew past. But this time, the bird looked stronger and better. It looked brave. People tend to associate black with death and negative emotions. But I associate black with being bold, brave and positive emotions.
When the different bird flew past, the one who now seemed stronger and better, it reminded me of myself, how I started off as small and weak, but as life threw its challenges, it was building me up, not tearing me down, as a result, becoming stronger, better and wiser.
This bird has been through a lot and still flies like nothing is weighing him down. This bird has a better understanding of life now. Other birds are amazed, they will never understand the struggle of that bird. That bird makes it look easy, but we all struggle, some disguise it better.
Take life at your own pace. If you want to compare yourself, then compare yourself to your old self. It's Mental Health Awareness Week, and I hope everyone stays well. It is a challenging time, but you're not alone. Fly your own way at your own speed.
I love your interpretation of the bird in this peice. This is caring and thoroughly wrote. The way we need to go our own way and not what society would like us to.
