"I don't believe in the kind of magic in my books. But I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a good book." - J. K. Rowling
Last week I had the good fortune to visit the Harry Potter Studios. The tour was a Christmas present from my son and we had a great time. There was lots to see and we had good fun.
Before our visit I 'binge-watched' all the Harry Potter films. I'd seen them before, but wanted to familiarise myself with the detail.
I'm not really a Potter freak, but did enjoy reading all the books back-to-back and will read them again at some point. I love J.K Rowling's imagination and inventiveness, and she's such a good story-teller. She has plenty to say too about the benefits of writing.

Writing prompts:
- Write about something magical that has happened in your life.
- I'm currently reading Ann Tyler's 'If Morning Ever Comes'. What are you reading at the moment? Write a short review.
- There was magic in so many books I encountered as a child, many of them read to me by my father: 'Mary Poppins', 'Treasure Island', 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer', 'Little Women' to name a few. Write about a magical book you remember from childhood.
