"Gratefulness is an antidote to the woes of the world."
Tomorrow, September 21, is World Gratitude Day. Recent events, nationally and globally, may have left us feeling despondent, or even anxious. Being thankful can help to lower stress levels. Click here for a short video from gratefulness.org that "awakens us to the wonders of our world, reminds us about what truly matters, and invites us to notice the everyday gifts of our lives."
Writing prompts:
- Make a list of five things, no matter how big or small, that you are grateful for today.
- Continue to make a 'gratitude' list every day this week.
- At the end of the week write down your reflections on the process. How did it make you feel? Was there any benefit to it? If so, consider keeping a regular gratitude journal.
