Shimmering Light

We have been blessed with beautiful, sunny weather today and, while walking by the stream in the woods, I saw the sunlight, reflected by the water and shimmering among the trees (click full screen to see it better).

Rilke wrote in his 'Book of Hours' :

You see, I want a lot.
Maybe I want it all:
the darkness of each endless fall,
the shimmering light of each ascent.

Writing prompt:
  • Have you experienced falls and ascents during these past few months of pandemic?
  • What 'shimmering light' have you seen?
