"In difficult times carry something beautiful in your heart."
With tighter restrictions announced again yesterday, it seems like we will be facing some challenging times for the next few months.
Writing prompt: look at the quote above from Pascal. In these difficult times what beautiful thing do you carry in your heart to help you through? Perhaps it is a memory or a person, a place or an experience? Maybe it is simply a feeling, or an emotion - kindness, or gratefulness? Perhaps it is a dream for the future? You might even have something concrete that you literally carry with you, maybe as a reminder of someone you love. I have a tiny, brass donkey as a reminder of my mum.
Close your eyes, focus on that beautiful thing in your heart for a couple of minutes, then pick up your pen, or pencil, and write. Don't bother about spelling, or grammar or even sentences. You could just write a list, or a mind map, just write whatever comes into your heart. Keep writing without stopping for five minutes.
