The Road Ahead

"You can't use an old map to explore a new world." (Albert Einstein)

"That is the charm of the map. It represents the other side of the horizon where everything is possible." (Rosita Forbes)

"All you need is the plan, the road map and the courage to press on to your destination." (Earl Nightingale)

"Map your future, but do it in pencil." (Jon Bon Jovi)
Boris has set out his "four-step roadmap" to ease the Covid restrictions and plan a way forward. I wonder how you are feeling about the road map? Read the quotes above to help trigger your writing and do please share in the comments box .

Writing prompts:
  • How do you see the 'new world' that is waiting for us later this year? Will there be, or would you like, anything to be permanently different?
  • Write about the 'new possibilities' you see "on the other side of the horizon."
  • Do you have the 'courage' to press on to something new, or are you remaining somewhat anxious and cautious?
  • It's good to have something to look forward to, whether it's a holiday you are planning, being able to cuddle your grandchildren, or simply meeting a friend for a coffee. Write about those future events you are pencilling in your diary.
