'Fear In My Heart'

 https://unsplash.com/@helloimnik

When will it stop, this fear in my heart?
When will it stop, when did it start?
It dampens my spirit and scrambles my brain.
It gives me so much sorrow, it gives me so much pain.
My chest feels so tight, as if it could burst.
I feel so light-headed, will it get any worse?
My breath is so laboured I feel I might die.
My head feels so heavy all I can do is cry.
I've been here, I lived it so many times before.
It must pass, it will pass, of that I am sure.
So until then I will take each minute by minute.
The battle is tough but I'm sure I will win it!
